Work is expected to resume at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Unity Township soon as the Airport Authority has authorized a $90,000 change order.
The Tribune-Review reports that the change order was for a boarding bridge, one of the enclosed structures that passengers use to walk from their gate to the plane. The change will cover the cost for the material in the switchback portion from steel to aluminum. The change order will also cover the cost of increasing the size of the concrete foundation, which is needed with the new weight load numbers which are higher than the original estimates.
The project also includes expanding the passenger waiting area in the airport main terminal.
