The trial of 19-year-old Cory Gearhart continued yesterday with prosecutors saying that the alleged murder weapon was in his home along with two other guns.
Gearhart is charged in the killing of Daniel McNerny as Gearhart and two others were robbing a Pittsburgh-area drug dealer during a revenge plot. Benjamin Irvin of Blairsville was on the stand yesterday, saying that he was a regular visitor to Gearhart’s home and had seen the guns as Gearhart handled them, along with Austin Krinock and Zachary McGrath.
Other witnesses testified about how they tried to help Gerhart avoid capture, and him telling them of his involvement in the shooting.
The trial continues today.
