
A Derry Township man was caught going 100 miles an hour in a 50 mile an hour zone.
Police say that 38-year-old Todd Trout was initially caught going 77 in a 55 mile an hour zone at 8:20 AM on Saturday, and when police tried to pull him over, he accelerated to 100 miles an hour. Trout eventually went on to Route 711 in Ligonier Township and stopped his car near Nicely road. Police found Marijuana in the vehicle and a vape pipe on Trout’s person.
Trout now faces charges of fleeing police, DUI, and other summary offenses. He’s in Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $5000 bail.
