A Jeannette woman is charged with hindering apprehension and resisting arrest after she tried to hide a hit-and-run suspect in her apartment earlier this month.
The Tribune-Review reports 48-year-old Christine Tillman faces charges in connection with the March 3rd accident at the intersection of North First Street and Illinois Lane. The driver of one of the vehicles involved, 30 -year-old Timothy Chavis of McKeesport, tried to avoid apprehension by fleeing the scene of the crash and going to several places before he was able to get into Tillman’s apartment through a window just as police got to her apartment to search it. Police noticed him leaving by that same window, and he fell from that window. He was apprehended as he tried to get up and run.
Chavis also faces charges connected with the crash itself along with flight to avoid apprehension.
