The man who is charged with stabbing three people in a North Belle Vernon bar is being held in Westmoreland County Jail without bail.
The Tribune-Review reports that 43-year-old Eric D. Cook of Donora in Washington County is charged with three counts of attempted homicide and simple assault, along with four counts of aggravated assault. Court records showed that Cook stabbed the three people inside the “Just a Tavern” on Broad Street because of an off-hand remark about someone being released from jail.
He is being held without bail because he was deemed a danger to the community. A preliminary hearing is set for April 8th.
