Police in Latrobe have charged a man with choking an ex-girlfriend and threatening her with a knife during an argument at a convenience store on Tuesday.
The Tribune-Review reports that police arrested and charged Cody G. Riggin of Fayette County with aggravated assault, harassment, simple assault, strangulation and other crimes connected with the incident. Police say said that Riggin and his victim were in a verbal argument in a car at the parking lot of Sheetz in Latrobe when the victim said Riggin choked her, physically abused her and then forced her to drive at knife point. She fled the vehicle at that point and called 911.
Riggin was ordered held in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
