A man from Salem was sentenced Friday to serve six years in prison for leading police on a high-speed chase last year.
The Tribune-Review reports 52-year-old David Negich Sr. of Salem was sentenced for a guilty plea to DUI, fleeing police, resisting arrest, and other related offenses in connection with an incident that
happened on March 21st of 2018. Police had pulled Negich over in Greensburg for a traffic stop when he sped off. He led police on a 20-mile chase and ended with a crash in Loyalhanna Township. Negich resisted arrest when police caught up with him. Police said they found glass crack pipes, heroin, and marijuana inside the car.
On top of this case, Negich pleaded guilty last week to his involvement in a drug case in February of 2018 and was sentenced to 11 and a half to 23 months for drug charges related to the February case.
