The trial of a Unity man up for charges of stalking and burglary has been delayed for two months to allow him time to prepare to represent himself.
The Tribune-Review reports that the trial of 50-year-old Terry Marincic Jr. was supposed to get underway on Monday, but Marincic asked Judge Tim Krieger that he represent himself and not have assistant public defender John Sweeney represent him so that he could speak for himself.
Marincic is accused of making as many as 80 harassing phone calls from jail to a woman who received a protection from abuse order from him, breaking into her home in Youngstown, and trespassing as he hid under a neighboring home’s crawlspace to spy on her.
