
A West Newton couple was in court Monday, continuing the legal battle to get custody of their daughter restored to them.
The Tribune-Review reports that Robert and Tiffany Aquilina waived a scheduled preliminary hearing on child endangerment and reckless endangerment. West Newton police say in charges filed on February 8th that the parents had exposed their daughter to illicit drug use. The two were arrested after police received a report that the daughter was endangered because they refused to take her to Children’s Hospital for treatment after a doctor’s visit, and instead of taking her to Children’s, the couple were taking their daughter to relatives in Ohio.
The pair are free on $50,000 bond.
