Members of the Norwin School Board have expressed their opposition to the plan by Sheetz to sell alcohol at the store across the street from one of the district’s elementary schools.
The Tribune-Review reports that a vote is set for the April 15th meeting for a resolution opposing the sale of alcohol at the Sheetz across from Stewartsville Elementary School. The Altoona-based chain announced their plan to have beer sales at that location during a meeting of the North Huntingdon planning commission last week when they announced expanding the building to include a seating area.
If approved, the resolution would be presented to both the planning commission and the township commissioners.
