Investigators broke up a lottery mail scam in Murrysville this week after a Maryland man tried to pick up $100,000 from a resident and hit the man with his car as he tried to flee.
The Tribune-Review reports that 47-year-old Clint O’Brian Robinson now faces charges connected with the incident at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at a home on Hills Church Road. The victim was called and told they won $5 million, but they needed to collect $100,000 to release the money. The victim offered to meet in person and have them come to collect. When the victim was called and notified the courier was there to pick up the money, the victim stood in front of the car Robinson was driving. Robinson allegedly hit the man as he tried to get away.
Robinson is in Westmoreland County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
