The Tribune-Review reports that the mayor of Derry, 38-year-old Kevin M. Gross, pointed a gun at several juveniles last night just before 8:30 PM.
His son was apparently involved in a fistfight with two other juveniles. That’s when Gross stepped in with his gun, and pointed it at a 15-year-old boy’s head, ordering him to the ground. Police also accuse him of pointing it at three teenage girls, ordering them to put their cell phones and belongings down. Parents intervened at that point.
Gross surrendered the gun to state troopers and admitted to pointing it at the boy. He is charged with aggravated and simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment and is awaiting his arraignment later today.
