North Huntingdon Township has sued its zoning hearing board and a Greensburg development company, looking to overturn the board’s decision granting a permit for a billboard along Route 30 near the PA Turnpike interchange at Irwin.
The Tribune-Review reports that the township officials want a judge to overturn the zoning hearing board decision that overturned a zoning officer’s denial of a permit request from DeNunzio Properties to put up a billboard on a wooded lot. The square footage of the billboard is bigger than the township limits.
The township says that if the judge won’t overturn the ruling, there should be a new hearing.
