Investigators once again have raided the office of the Westmoreland County Sheriff.
The Tribune-Review reports that State Police investigators entered the office Wednesday morning, served another search warrant, and left with several boxes worth of potential evidence.
This marks the second raid in the office in as many years, as in 2018, the office was raided as part of an investigation of Sheriff Jonathan Held into allegations of using sheriff’s office staffers for campaign purposes.
In reaction to today’s raid, Sheriff Held did not say what investigators were looking for, but confirmed that he was not the center of the investigation.
