Parents of a Hempfield woman killed in a crash in Yukon this year filed a wrongful death lawsuit against two local bars and the man behind the wheel of the car.
The Tribune-Review reports that the parents of 25-year-old Sarah McDonald have sued both Johnny’s Wife’s Place in Jeannette and the Creekside Saloon in Yukon, saying they were negligent when they served alcohol to Trey Crue of East Huntingdon, who was already visibly intoxicated in the overnight hours of March 3rd and 4th. He was then allowed to drive with two women in the car, one of them being McDonald, who died when he crashed into a parked vehicle on Highway Street.
Her parents claim that the bar staff should have known that Cue was too drunk to drive and should not have been served more alcohol.
