The Mt. Pleasant woman accused of being a part of the human trafficking and prostitution ring at Tokyo Massage parlors has been ordered back to prison.
The Tribune-Review reports that 44-year-old Hui Xu was told to return to jail on Saturday after she allegedly threatened a co-defendant. Xu was free on $100,000 unsecured bond but was confined to her home in Mt. Pleasant on an electronic monitoring device. She now faces charges of witness intimidation in connection with some social media posts made after she was released from jail.
Three others are facing charges in this case. Xu has denied all charges in this case.
