A Youngwood man now faces charges of drug possession and other crimes related to an arrest made Friday by Westmoreland County deputy sheriffs.
The Tribune-Review reports 50-year-old Darrell Scott Strong was seen by deputies as they were staking out a nearby residence. Strong was wanted on an arrest warrant and the deputies followed him until they were able to pull him over for a traffic stop. He admitted that he had heroin in the glove compartment, but police found 67 stamp bags and $841 in cash. A search of his home uncovered empty stamp bags, more drug paraphernalia, three live marijuana plants, cash and suboxone strips.
Strong is in jail in lieu of bond and will appear for a preliminary hearing on May 7th.
