
The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting the first case of measles in 2019 in an adult.
WTAE-TV reports that this case is not connected with any other outbreaks, and the individual was not vaccinated and had travelled internationally recently. Potential exposure locations included the Giant Eagle Market District Store on Centre Avenue in Pittsburgh, and the Aldi on Baum Boulevard on Friday, April 26tth and Sunday, April 28th.
The individual had been treated at UPMC Shadyside’s emergency room on Monday, and is currently recovering at home.
