A man from Mt. Pleasant is under arrest in connection with an investigation into a collision last month in South Greensburg between a car and a pedestrian that killed the pedestrian.
The Tribune-Review reports that police have officially charged 42-year-old Jonathan McElroy with hitting 86-year-old Clarence Wolff with his car outside of Degennaro’s Restaurant & Lounge.
Wolff died in the hospital after the incident. Investigators got a break on April 24th when investigators got a call from someone at a Chevy dealership’s repair center. They reported that the car that matched the description of the car that hit Wolff was in their repair shop.
McElroy is in Westmoreland County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
