Westmoreland County leaders are working on a plan to assist areas that are prone to flooding.
KDKA-TV reports that many residents showed up to listen to the county’s integrated water resources plan, which is written by the county’s Conservation District and will specifically target where flooding regularly happens. County officials say more than 9,000 residents live in areas where catastrophic flooding can and has occurred in the past.
The commissioners now have to approve the plan, which could happen at a Commissioners’ meeting later this month.
