The number of fatal drug overdoses is continuing to go down in 2019.
The Tribune-Review Reports that through the first four months of 2019, the number of overdose deaths has dropped about 21 percent compared to the same time period in 2018. Twenty overdose deaths were confirmed by the Westmoreland County Coroner’s office in 2019, while 38 deaths were recorded in 2018.
While Westmoreland County Coroner Kenneth Bacha said he could pinpoint a reason, he did call the news encouraging.
