A Greensburg man was sentenced to eight years in prison on Tuesday for sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
The Tribune-Review reports that 38-year-old Daniel DeAugustine did not make any statements during his sentencing yesterday, but his lawyer did say his client would appeal the conviction. DeAugustine was found guilty in February of five charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other related crimes that go back to 2015, when on two occasions, DeAugustine forced his victim to engage in sexual activities with him.
On top of the four to eight years in prison, he will also serve two years of probation, and required to register as a sexual offender for the rest of his life.
