A priest with the Diocese of Greensburg has been removed from his position as law enforcement officials investigate a complaint of sexual abuse of a minor.
The Tribune-Review reports that the allegation against the Reverend Andrew Kawecki was received by officials on Monday and is in connection with an incident that happened 15 years ago. The diocese reported the incidents to the PA Childline.
Kawecki is now under investigation and on leave. He will not participate in parish activities until the investigation is complete, and the diocese is finding another pastor to serve the parishes he served.
