No serious injuries were reported when a school bus crashed into a church in Irwin on Wednesday.
The Tribune-Review reports that a First Student bus was on its way to pick up Penn-Trafford students when it tried to make a turn onto Second Street and crashed into the Immaculate Conception Church.
No students were on board at the time of the crash, but the driver, 57-year-old Sallie Jo White of North Huntingdon suffered a minor injury.
Police say that White’s foot accidentally slipped off the brake and hit the gas as it was rounding the curve and went into the church. Just a few bricks on the church were damaged.
