The Unity Township Municipal Authority is getting ready to replace a sewer main in Pleasant Unity that has been prone to leaks.
The Tribune-Review reports that bids were opened Wednesday for the project, with the winning bid submitted by Glenn Johnston, Inc. of McKeesport at a cost of $201,127. Leaks have been popping up along a 1,250 foot section of the water line along Route 130 between Division Lane and Chambers Avenue.
Once the bids are reviewed by consultants with the authority, the notice to proceed will head out. No word yet on how long the project will take.
