The Greater Latrobe School District is looking at a tax increase in their next budget.
The Tribune-Review reports that the school board gave preliminary approval to the 2019-2020 budget at their school board meeting earlier this week, and that budget includes a one-mil tax increase to 82.25 mills. The hike would generate about $340,000 in revenue and would add $25 in taxes for every $25,000 in home value.
The district is also looking into taking some from their savings for another $193,750.
The budget will be up for final approval at by the end of next month.
