A woman was hit and injured by a train in Mt. Pleasant.
KDKA-TV reports that 19-year-old Miranda Cook was hit by a train Thursday afternoon and fell under the train. This was along the tracks by the American Architectural Salvage Warehouse on West Main Street.
Reports say that Cook could not move due to an injured leg. She was treated on scene and flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital for further treatment.
The train, which was pulling freight cars at the time, was moving slowly and had sounded its whistle numerous times before hitting Cook. Reports say that she had earbuds in her ears.
