The bail was reduced for the former Derry mayor who is accused of pointing a gun at kids at a local park.
The Tribune-Review reports 38-year-old Kevin Gross had posted a $20,000 cash bond, but asked that bail be lowered to help pay his living expenses and provide for his family. His defense attorney said he was not a danger to the community and will not flee but assistant district attorney Pete Caravello said that he was a danger because his family tried to stop police from taking the guns he had, which was one of the conditions of his bail.
The judge agreed to a reduction to 10 percent of the bond, which is $2,000.
