An Arnold police officer who was found not guilty of unlawful hunting had charges of tampering with evidence withdrawn.
The Trib reports that state Game Commission officials said 29-year-old Jacob Pollick of Murrysville killed an antlered whitetail deer in mid-October in the area of the Pittsburgh Mills mall. He was originally charged with hunting outside of legal hunting hours, but it was determined that he took the deer during the daylight hours.
In a separate criminal complaint, the commission alleged Pollick tried to hide deer skulls outside his home, which led to the tampering charge. That charge was withdrawn due to lack of evidence.
