The seven men charged in a string of truck stop robberies across Western PA face new charges connected with that incident.
WPXI-TV reports that police now report that multiple victims came forward saying the men were doing face-to-face scams, telling people that they won the lottery for $50,000 and wanted to give the money to truckers. When one was asked how much money they had, the suspects took the money instead. In another instance, the victim said they were handing out $100 bills, but instead ripped a necklace off her neck and took a ring off her finger.
The suspects remain in Westmoreland County Jail.
