A Norwin High School graduate was named the new leader of the National Archives and Records Administration.
The Trib reports that the Senate confirmed 1993 graduate Colleen Shogan by a 52-45 vote. She was nominated in August by president Joe Biden. She takes over as the agency is embroiled in controversy over the raid of former President Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida that turned up 11 boxes of classified documents, and discoveries of more classified documents with president Biden and vice president Mike Pence.
Shogan succeeds David Ferriero, who retired in April 2022.
