A threatening phone call prompted the presence of state police yesterday at the River Valley School District.
State police say they were notified around 9:00 PM on Tuesday by several parents that some students received threatening phone calls from an unknown person, with the threat of an act of violence against the district. Police investigated the school that night and members of the state police were present at the school yesterday as a further deterrent. Police determined that there was no imminent or ongoing threat at the school, but the investigation into the threat is continuing.
