A Ligonier Township man is suing the township and a public works employee, saying he was attacked in front of his home in April of 2022. The Trib reports that Mark Leonard filed the suit. He claimed that rocks and debris were thrown at his home on Kissell Springs Road and when he approached the driver of a tractor, he was greeted with obscenities and threats.
He also claimed the driver of the tractor, a member of the township road crew, sped up and drove into him, causing him to fall backwards Leonard’s lawsuit estimates property damages at more than $4,700. He is seeking additional compensatory and punitive damages. The road crew member, Timothy Leonard, no relation, remains on the job.
