All of Pennsylvania remains under a drought watch today. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection first issued the drought watch last week due to the dry conditions that Pennsylvania has experienced so far this year.
The Trib reports that the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County has also been keeping an eye on conditions and says that there is no need for a mandatory water conservation order. State residents were asked by the DEP to voluntarily cut back water use by 5 to 10%, and that request continues at this time.
