Taxpayers in the Greater Latrobe school district will pay more in real estate taxes next school year.
The Trib reports that the budget approved by the school board earlier this week includes a 3-mil tax increase. The budget came to about $64.2 million and included a $1.1 million shortfall in revenues.
The budget was approved by a 5-4 vote, with some who voted against it saying that the tax increase was too steep for district residents.
