A man was arrested after a standoff in Rostraver.
KDKA-TV reports that the hours-long standoff on Wednesday started with a call to the Rostraver Police Department after 32-year-old Joseph Krosoff texted his father, asking to borrow a gun to “take out his mother,” and that he would use a hitman if needed. Krosoff then went to his father’s house and the incident escalated with him punching his father in the face and putting him in a headlock. He then took a Colt revolver and left.
Police found him at his house on Frederick Street and when he refused to come out, police along with State Police SERT team members formed a perimeter. He surrendered six hours later at 8:00 PM. No injuries were reported.
Krosoff is charged with theft, terroristic threats, robbery and other crimes.
