The man accused of a carjacking in Blairsville that left a woman injured was apprehended Thursday during a traffic stop in Chatham County, Georgia.
The Trib reports that authorities had been searching for 35-year-old Michael A. Whitfield since Wednesday, when he attacked a 60-year-old woman at Keeper of the Flame in Blairsville and stole her vehicle. A nine-year-old child with the woman jumped out of the SUV as the suspect drove away.
