The Westmoreland County Coroner is starting a program that will help prevent unsafe sleeping practices at home.
The Trib reports that Coroner Tim Carson is working with Cribs for Kids out of Pittsburgh to connect families with free cribs and education classes to prevent children dying in their sleep. Classes will be held monthly starting in September and thanks to a donation from Black Diamond Rental, 14 cribs will be ready for use.
Anyone who needs a crib can contact the office at 724-830-3636.
