Latrobe City Council has hired a new city code enforcement officer.
The Trib reports that 52-year-old Daniel Weimer of Ligonier was hired at a salary of $55,000 a year. He replaces Jim Nieusma, who retired. Weimer has 20 years of experience in transportation construction inspection along with experience as a planning coordinator for the Westmoreland County Department of Planning and Development. He was previously employed with PennDOT. Weimer also has experience with property and loan closings working for a title and settlement company.
Weimer starts in early September.
