Latrobe’s municipal building is being renovated to make operations more efficient.
The Trib reports that the work was prompted by aging computer equipment and a need for space. That need was fulfilled after Mutual Aid Ambulance moved out of the building when its lease ended. While the lounge used by Mutual Aid will now be a break room for police and borough employees, the former ambulance garage and exercise room will be used for files and storage. Another section of the area formerly used by Mutual Aid will house computer servers and IT equipment.
Renovations are expected to take a month or two.
