Traffic restrictions are expected starting today for the Speers Bridge on I-70.
The Trib reports that the the single-lane restrictions will be in place as crews inspect the the bridge that carries I-70 over the Monongahela River. Traffic will be affected between 9 AM and 3 PM each day until the 15th. The bridge connects Speers in Washington County with Belle Vernon and Rostraver in Westmoreland County. Speaking of closures, A section of Wyano Waltz Mill Road in South Huntingdon will close today so PennDOT crews can replace a bridge over a branch of Sewickley Creek. The closure, between Markeys Road and Waltz Mill Road, is expected to continue through mid-November, depending on weather conditions.
PennDOT will post a detour directing motorists along Huntingdon Road, Bells Mills Road (First Street), Route 31 and Waltz Mill Road.
