One person was hospitalized after a tanker tractor-trailer overturned about 1:50 p.m. Thursday near the New Stanton exit of the PA Turnpike.
The Trib reports that the tractor-trailer went down a wooded hillside just a mile east of the New Stanton exit, and the injured person had to be rescued. A Westmoreland County Public Safety supervisor said emergency responders cleared the scene by 4 p.m.
The Penn Township technical rescue team assisted at the scene between Thermo Village Road and the turnpike.
