A Saltsburg man was killed in a crash this weekend in Avonmore.
The Trib reports that 27-year-old Tate Matthew Kaleda was riding east on Route 56 at 2:15 Saturday morning when he did not go through a right curve cleanly. The motorcycle crossed into the opposing lane of traffic, went off the road and struck a tree.
Kaleda was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Sean Hribal. The death was ruled accidental due to blunt force trauma to the head. He was not wearing a helmet at the time. State police and Avonmore police are investigating.
