The warden of the Westmoreland County prison has resigned.
The Trib reports that on Monday, the county prison board accepted Bryan Kline’s resignation with regret. He has served as warden for two and a half years. He said he is leaving to pursue work in academia and research. The resignation is effective Oct. 2. Kline said in his resignation email that he wanted to use five vacation days.
Steven Pelesky, who has served as the deputy warden of security, was named interim warden. He has been with the jail for 15 years.
