State police have officially filed charges against three juveniles in connection with an incident that caused the lockdown of the Hempfield Senior High School.
According to a news release, the three 15-year-olds face various felony and misdemeanor charges, including carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property and causing or risking a catastrophe. Police believe that both firearms were stolen, and one of the teens also faces charges of theft by unlawful taking.
Troopers also learned of a threat where one of the three allegedly threatened another student during class on Monday before one of the three involved was detained by school resource officers. Police also found on one of the teens a suspected vape device containing THC.
