A traffic stop in Murrysville turned into the arrest of a man wanted in Florida on weapons-related charges.
The Trib reports that 42-year-old Ramondouas Betrand was driving on Tarr Hollow Road when a tractor-trailer driver noticed him making an illegal u-turn and going into a residential yard. When he was stopped, police were notified that Betrand was wanted on a full extradition warrant from Florida on charges of aggravated assault, carrying a concealed firearm and possession of firearms and ammunition by a prohibited felon.
The charges stem from an October 2022 incident. An extradition hearing is set for Thursday in District Judge Timothy Krieger’s Greensburg court.
