A home in Penn Township was destroyed by fire yesterday.
The Trib reports that crews were first called to the scene in the 300 block of Manor Road at 4:45 PM. Heavy smoke was seen from the garage area of the two-story brick house. One firefighter got disoriented and had to be extricated, but was ok after that. A portion of the roof did fall in during the fire.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and township officials have been called in to investigate.
