The president of Westmoreland County Community College will step down her position June 30th of next year.
The Trib reports that 55-year-old Tuesday Stanley joined WCCC in 2014 and will have served as president for exactly a decade when her retirement goes into effect. While she said she is exploring other opportunities, she is not leaving to take a new position.
During Stanley’s tenure, the college completed additions to the Science Innovation Center, a renovation of the student achievement center and other projects. During Stanley’s tenure, the college, whose current enrollment is 4,275, also has expanded its College in High School program to more than 30 high schools and added coordinated programs with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, PennWest California University of Pennsylvania along with Seton Hill, Carlow, Kutztown and Robert Morris universities. She said she will miss the employees and students.
