A Pitt-Greensburg student is in the hospital after a car hit her near the entrance to the campus in Hempfield.
The Trib reports that the student was hit at the intersection of Mt. Pleasant Road and University Drive. The victim, who was not identified, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment. State police are investigating.
University officials released a statement that the woman’s parents have been notified and that Residence Life staff and counseling are available to students.
