MURRYSVILLE COUNCIL TO VOTE ON DRILLING UNDER TWO PARKS

Council members in Murrysville will soon be voting on whether drilling can take place under two parks.

Council has already approved of advertising for ordinances which would permit fracking under 305 acres of Murrysville Community Park and 74 acres of Duff Park, where the Marcellus Shale and the Utica Shale lie, offering natural gas.

Residents are opposing the fracking, but council will vote soon on whether or not to move forward with the plans.
